Gettting around in Leuven
The best way to get around the centre of Leuven is by foot, as the
centre is very small and driving is a nightmare. If you come by train, you arrive at Leuven train
station, which is on the Martelarenplein. If you need a map, we
recommend to use
map24. Below is a
map of a part of the city centre. The blue flag is the train station, the orange
flag is the conference venue.
Gettting to Leuven
Important remark : Leuven is about 25 km east from
Brussels. Do not confuse Leuven with Louvain-La-Neuve, where the
francophone university UCL is situated. Louvain-la-Neuve is about 30
km away from Leuven!
Brussels international airport (Zaventem)
You can fly to Brussels airport from all over the world, see
their site. There are two
options to get to Leuven:
- By train: Very good news here, as their is since very recently a

see here. You can buy and print tickets online here,
or just buy them in the ticketing office at the airport.
- By taxi: this will take about 20 minutes (much more in early evening
rush hours) and costs about €60.
Speed train
