I've a faculty member at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The
University Ethics Officer has told a huge number of faculty members to
fill out Statements of Economic Interest, even though we aren't in any
of the categories in Public Act 88-187 Section 4A-101(f). Perhaps we'll
be able to get this mistake corrected by the University Ethics Officer;
but, if not, is there any way to have it corrected by the Office of the
Secretary of State, short of filing a lawsuit?
